LEXINGTON, KY (March 30, 2012) – Keeneland sales alumni comprise the majority of entries for both Saturday’s Florida Derby (G1) and Sunday’s Louisiana Derby (G2). Six of the nine sophomores going postward in the Florida Derby are Keeneland sales graduates, led by Risen Star (G3) winner El Padrino, the highly regarded Take Charge Indy and Gulfstream Park Derby winner Reveron. The entry of Mr. Bowling and Mark Valeski, both Keeneland sales alumni, are morning-line favorites in the Louisiana Derby. Ten of the 14 horses entered in the Louisiana Derby are Keeneland sales graduates. |
