There are two Preferred parking sections available from Gate 2.
Handicap Accommodations
Keeneland provides accessible parking for our handicap patrons on race days. To park in the handicap parking section, you must present and display a valid handicap parking permit. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at no cost. Wheelchair transportation is available from the handicap parking area to the grandstand areas and dining rooms upon request.
General Parking Guidelines
· Keeneland provides free parking in most areas for its patrons on a race day.
· Free shuttle transportation is available throughout the day; if you need special assistance, please ask one of our parking attendants.
· If you park in a designated ‘No Parking” Zone, your vehicle will be towed.
Tents and Tailgating Guidelines
Tailgating at Keeneland is a wonderful tradition and one of the many things that make coming to Keeneland a great way to spend an afternoon. To help make your tailgating experience more enjoyable, please observe the following guidelines:
· Tailgating is allowed throughout the Keeneland grounds.
· Open bars and kegs are not permitted
· Laws pertaining to disorderly conduct and underage drinking will be similarly enforced by off-duty uniformed officers patrolling the Keeneland lots each day
· Tents are allowed only in designed areas (See Google Map of designed areas.)
o Tents must be no larger than 20’ x 40’
o Tents must be secured by weighted barrels unless otherwise approved by Keeneland.
o The use of tent stakes and other types of in-ground securing devices to secure tents is strictly prohibited as they pose a danger due to the presence of underground electric and utility lines
o Excessive commercial signage is not permitted. Tents may hang signs or banners approximately 2’ x 3’ to direct guests to tent entrance
o Only caterers with an alcohol license may set-up a bar on Keeneland’s grounds. Licensed caterers only are to serve guests of the catered tailgate and are required to ID guests to ensure they are of legal drinking age
o No DJ’s or amplified sound is allowed
