LEXINGTON, KY (May 14, 2012) – Keeneland sales grads swept the weekend’s two graded stakes for three-year-olds. Mark Valeski won Belmont’s Peter Pan Stakes (G2) for owner Brereton Jones, trainer Larry Jones and jockey Rosie Napravnik. Only a half-length separated first- and second-place finishers and Keeneland sales alumni Drill and American Act in the Lazaro S. Barrera Memorial (G3) at Hollywood. |

LEXINGTON, KY (May 7, 2012) – I’ll Have Another, Bodemeister and Dullahan, each graduates of Keeneland’s 2010 September Yearling Sale, finished 1-2-3 in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1). Rounding out the top six Derby finishers were Keeneland-sold Went the Day Well, Creative Cause and Liaison. Other Keeneland sales alumni to win graded stakes this weekend were Believe You Can (Kentucky Oaks-G1); Shackleford (Churchill Downs-G2); Morning Line (Mervyn Leroy-G2) and Contested (Eight Belles-G3). |
