First Lady Jane Beshear and Keeneland Announce “Horses and Hope”

First Lady Jane Beshear today announced “Horses and Hope,” an initiative she has created with the Kentucky Cancer Program. The project will foster work with the state’s equine industry to identify new opportunities to provide breast cancer awareness, education, screening and treatment referral, as well as to raise funds to sustain programs into the future.
Keeneland and Turfway Park Jointly Announce New Shoe Policy

Officials at Keeneland and Turfway Park today announced a new shoe policy banning the use of toe grabs. The policy is effective at both racetracks beginning September 1.
