Diamond Song moved to the middle of the track to launch her winning bid in the $51,039 Gunston Hall Purse Wednesday at Keeneland.
Ridden by Kent Desormeaux, the 4-year-old daughter of Unbridled’s Song ran seven furlongs on Polytrack in 1:23.18 while winning for the second time in six starts. She increased her earnings to $79,585 with the victory.
Diamond Song, who is owned by Charles Fipke, finished 1 ½ lengths in front of runner-up Silver Time in the field of 11 3-year-olds and upward. It was a neck back to third-place Pina Colada.
Diamond Song, the favorite, paid $7.80 and gave trainer Dallas Stewart his second win of the afternoon.
