Keeneland has cataloged 4,702 horses for its November Breeding Stock Sale, to be held Tuesday, November 10 – Sunday, November 22.

Catalogs for the November Sale are now available at www.keeneland.com. Print catalogs will be mailed the week of October 19.

Keeneland delayed the start of its November Sale by one day to better accommodate horsemen attending the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita, to be held Friday and Saturday, November 6-7. Sessions begin daily at 10 a.m. ET. Keeneland will provide live coverage of the entire 13-day sale at www.keeneland.com.

“The November Sale offers quality and quantity unlike any other breeding stock sale in the world,” said Keeneland’s Director of Sales Geoffrey Russell. “This year’s catalog features some of the most outstanding broodmares and race fillies on the market today.”

Highlighting the November Sale will be the dispersals of two of North America’s most prestigious breeding establishments – the W.T. Young family’s Overbrook Farm and Windfields Farm, founded by the late E.P. Taylor.

Also featured are mares covered by such first-year stallions as two-time Horse of Year Curlin and 2008 Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Big Brown.

Of interest to buyers from the Southern Hemisphere are 22 mares consigned by Adena Springs with foals by their sides that were produced by Southern Hemisphere-timed matings to such stallions as Awesome Again, El Prado (IRE) and Ghostzapper, among others.

Cataloged among the November Sale weanlings is one of the last three foals sired by Storm Cat, who was pensioned in 2008.

Weanlings representing many of the world’s top sires, such as A.P. Indy, Birdstone, Candy Ride (ARG), Distorted Humor, Dynaformer, Elusive Quality, Empire Maker, Ghostzapper, Giant’s Causeway, Gone West, Kingmambo, Lemon Drop Kid, Malibu Moon, Mr. Greeley, Pulpit, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Street Cry (IRE), Tapit, Tiznow and Unbridled’s Song, among others, will be offered.
