Graduates of Keeneland’s 2007 September Yearling Sale finished 1-2-3 in Saturday’s Lane’s End Stakes (G2) at Turfway Park.
 
WinStar Farm LLC’s Hold Me Back made his sophomore debut a winning one by capturing the Lane’s End. The Giant’s Causeway colt was purchased at the September Sale for $400,000 by Maverick Racing from consignor Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent
 
Trainer Bill Mott indicated Hold Me Back will be pointed toward Keeneland’s Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G1) on April 11.
 
Finishing second and third, respectively, were Grand Slam Farm LLC’s Flying Private and William Stiritz’s Proceed Bee.
 
Flying Private was consigned to the September Sale by breeder Mulholland Springs, and bought for $700,000 by Robert Baker & William Mack. The Fusaichi Pegasus colt is trained by D. Wayne Lukas.
 
Owner William Stiritz paid $40,000 for third-place finisher Proceed Bee at the 2007 September Sale. The Bernstein colt was consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.
