Yes. Many of Keeneland's public and private areas are available for rental. However, Keeneland does restrict their usage to certain times of the year, so as not to coincide with major Keeneland events, such as live racing or live sales. For rental information and availability, please contact us at marketing@keeneland.com

Keeneland’s Research Library is open from 8:30 a.m until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except during live racing when the hours change to 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Racing is very rarely cancelled due to rain. However, the safety of the horses and riders is our first priority so occassionally a race is delayed to allow bad weather to pass through our area.

Keeneland normally runs nine races each day. Post time each day begins at 1:05 p.m. Races are run approximately every 30 minutes.

Yes. Keeneland’s sales are open to the public. However, seating inside the pavilion is reserved for authorized buyers and their agents. A spectator gallery is located in the back of the pavilion, just outside the reserved seating.

Buyers must have approved credit to purchase a horse at a Keeneland sale. You may complete a credit application online.

Keeneland has four sales each year. In January, we offer a Horses of All Ages Sale; in April we offer a Two-Year-Old-in-Training Sale; in September, we offer a Yearling Sale; and in November, we offer a Breeding Stock Sale.

Catalogues are mailed to qualified buyers approximately three weeks prior to each sale. Catalogues are shipped UPS. We cannot guarantee delivery of catalogues if requests are made after two weeks prior to sale. Catalogs are available online approximately six weeks in advance of each sale.

Yes, children are welcome at Keeneland if they are accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and under admitted for free in general admission only. Children do not receive a discount in Keeneland’s dining rooms.

Yes, when purchasing your reserved seating or general admission tickets, simply ask for food vouchers to be added to your order. Food vouchers are available in $5 and $10 increments, with a minimum of $100 per food voucher order.

Yes, Keeneland does make provisions for our handicapped patrons in reserved and dining room seating. Please call the Keeneland ticket office at 800-456-3412 or send an e-mail outlining your request to tickets@keeneland.com.

To purchase a reserved grandstand seating ticket or to make dining reservations for a Keeneland race meeting, you may call 800-456-3412. On weekdays, reserved seats sell for $8.00; on weekends, reserved seats sell for $10.00; and on Toyota Bluegrass Stakes Day, reserved seats sell for $20.00. All prices include $5.00 for general admission. Keeneland limits the purchase of reserved grandstand seating tickets by one person to 50 on Saturdays and 12 on Bluegrass Stakes Day.

For the Keeneland Clubhouse, the dress code requires coat and ties for men, and suits, dresses or pantsuits for ladies. No denim is allowed in the Keeneland Clubhouse.
For the Lexington and Kentucky Rooms, the dress code requires sports jackets and ties for men, and suits, dresses or pantsuits for ladies. No denim is allowed in the Lexington or Kentucky Rooms.
For the Phoenix Room, men must wear a collared shirt and ladies should wear suits, dresses or pantsuits. No denim is allowed in the Phoenix Room.
For the Equestrian Room, the dress code is casual, with shirt and shoes required and denim permitted.
For general admission, shirt and shoes are required.

General admission is always available. General admission seating is located throughout Keeneland. Many patrons choose the benches located near the track’s rail. Other general admission seating can be found in various terraces and at patio tables. Patrons also are allowed to bring lawn chairs. Please remember that general admission seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dining rooms are located throughout Keeneland. Several factors—including the size of your group and dress code preference—determine your dining reservation. See a complete description of each dining room. For assistance in choosing the dining room that fits your preferences, see our seating guide.

Keeneland offers a dining option to fit any preference. For those wanting a casual dining experience, we recommend general admission concessions or The Equestrian Room. For those wanting a more upscale dining experience, we suggest The Phoenix Room for individuals and groups of 16 or less and the Lexington and Kentucky Rooms for groups of 40 or more. To dine in the Keeneland Clubhouse, you must be a guest of a Keeneland Club member. A dress code is enforced for dining in the Phoenix, Lexington, and Kentucky Rooms.

Yes. Keeneland is one of the few race tracks in the world where racing fans can get close to the horses.

Yes, Keeneland does have handicapped parking, located near the Clubhouse entrance. A Keeneland guest services employee is available to assist handicapped patrons with parking and seating.

Gate 1, located directly across from Man O’ War Boulevard, will be designated for free parking and tailgate parking

 Gate 2 will accommodate pay parking, including the Louisville Lot ($5), Clubhouse Valet and Preferred Parking ($5) for the General Public

 Tailgating has been moved to adjacent to the Keene Barn and Entertainment Center and is accessible via Gate 1 at no charge.

 Keeneland is increasing the number and frequency of its shuttle service to the tailgating and free parking areas

Elevators are located throughout Keeneland. Elevator A is located just past The Keeneland Shop, and provides service to The Phoenix Room and Keeneland’s corporate box section.
Elevator B is located just inside the grandstand area and offers service to the Lafayette, Phoenix, Keeneland, Lexington and Kentucky Rooms.
Elevator C is located on the far end of the grandstand and offers service to The Lexington and Kentucky Rooms.

Keeneland has designated a specific area near the sales pavilion for bus parking. Buses should enter via the Man ‘O War/Versailles Road entrance. Drivers are allowed to drop off their passengers near the Grandstand East entrance. However, passengers must board the bus at the end of the day in the bus parking area. Buses are not allowed to load passengers at the entrance. If someone on your bus needs special assistance, please find a guest services employee.
